  • What is SAMSUNG Cloud Print™?

    Samsung Cloud Print is a new feature applied to certain Samsung Printers which allows you to print to those printers through the cloud from a PC, Smartphone or Tablet connected to the internet and to Scan direct to a secure cloud storage area using a registered telephone number.
    For smaller devices this function is freely available in the latest firmware & in our XOA-E supporting devices via a free to use embedded application.
    Printer registration is simple & quick via NFC, Wi-Fi etc., enabling driverless printing of common document formats via your smartphone or tablet.
    One advantage of Samsung Cloud Print is that you can install and use the app without an account, just by verifying your phone number.

    ※ Some models with older firmware versions need to be upgraded. See "How to upgrade the printer's firmware?" below for information on how to upgrade the firmware.
    ※ Printers that do not support Samsung Cloud Print can still print using the Samsung Cloud Print software installed on a PC that is connected to that printer.

  • Which mobile devices support Samsung Cloud Print?

    Smartphones or tablets with Android OS 4.0 or later
    iPhone or iPad with iOS 7.0 or later

  • What are the required settings for the printer?

    To enable the Samsung Cloud Print feature on your compatible printer, you must:
    - Activate the Samsung Cloud Print feature using the printer’s SyncThru Web Service.
    - Connect your printer to the Internet.

    To activate the Samsung Cloud Print feature, please follow the steps below:

    - To enable Samsung Cloud Print through your device firmware:
    1. Access the printer’s SyncThru Web Service by entering the printer’s IP address into your web browser.
    2. Log in as the Administrator to the SyncThru Web Service.
    3. Go to the following menu to activate the Samsung Cloud Print:
      Settings -> Network Settings -> Samsung Cloud Print
    4. Wait 2 to 3 minutes and then refresh the web page. Check if the status of the license server and the printer server are both normal.
    5. Press the Test button to confirm the connection between the device and the Samsung Cloud Print server.
    ※ Samsung Cloud Print is available only when the Status Result window shows that all connections are successful.
    ※ If the connection fails, check your Internet connection and the DNS settings for your printer.

    - For XOA-E printers:
    1. Download the Samsung Cloud Agent from our web site.
    2. Access the printer’s SyncThru Web Service by entering the printer’s IP address into your web browser.
    3. Log in as the Administrator to the SyncThru Web Service.
    4. Go to the following menu and install Samsung Cloud Agent:
      Maintenance -> Application Management
    5. Go to XOA -> Samsung Cloud Agent. If you can't see this menu, wait for a moment and then refresh your browser.
    6. Set the Operation Mode to SCP or Samsung Cloud Print Public and then click Apply.
    ※ Samsung Cloud Print is available only when the License Server and the Print Server are enabled.
    ※ If the connection fails, check your Internet connection and the DNS settings for your printer.

  • How do I update the printer's firmware?

    Download the latest firmware version from Samsung's official website or here, and update.

  • How do I register a printer with the Samsung Cloud Print service?

    There are 4 ways to register a printer.
    1. Using Wi-Fi (when both the printer and mobile device belong to a Wi-Fi network)
    - Start the Samsung Cloud Print app and click the Register Printer button on the upper-right side of the screen to display a message window for adding devices using Wi-Fi.
    - A list of Wi-Fi connected devices will appear on the bottom of the screen. Select the device to register.
    - The device be will be registered successfully.
    2. Using NFC (when both the printer and mobile device support NFC)
    - Start the Samsung Cloud Print app and click the Register Printer button on the upper right side of the screen to display a message window for adding devices using NFC.
    - Then, place the antenna located on the back of the device next to the NFC attached to the printer. The device will read the signal and device information.
    - The device be will be registered successfully.
    3. Using a QR code
    - Start the Samsung Cloud Print app and click the Register Printer button on the upper-right side of the screen to display a dialog for adding devices with a QR code.
    - Place the product's QR code within the square on the mobile device's screen to read the product info.
    - When the product info window appears, click OK to successfully register the device.
    ※ You can check the QR code of the printer by printing out the device's panel or Configuration report.
    4. Manual registration using the MAC address of the printer
    - Start the Samsung Cloud Print app and click the register printer button on the upper right side of the screen to display a message window for adding devices with the MAC address.
    - Enter the MAC address of the printer on the corresponding menu and click OK to successfully register the device.
    ※ You can check the MAC address of the printer by printing out the Network Configuration report.

  • Why did my printer registration fail?

    The printer registration may fail due to the following reasons.
    1. The model is not supported (See "Which printers support Samsung Cloud Print?" for supported printers)
    2. For supported printers, it can be resolved by following the steps below.
    - Check that the printer is powered on.
    - Check that the network cable or wireless LAN is properly connected.
    - Check that the printer's network settings are configured correctly. (including firewalls).

  • How do I print with SAMSUNG Cloud Print from a PC?

    Install the SAMSUNG Cloud Print software to a PC.(Download)
    - Select Samsung Cloud Print from the Print menu of an application, and enter a printer or phone number registered to Samsung Cloud to send it.

  • If my printer doesn't support SAMSUNG Cloud Print, how do I print?

    Share a printer connected to a PC via the SAMSUNG Cloud Print server to print anywhere from that printer.
    - Install the SAMSUNG Cloud Print software to a PC.(Download)
    - Register the PC-connected printer to SAMSUNG Cloud Print.
    - Print through that printer in the Mobile app or on a PC.

    ※ The PC must always be ON to print from a printer connected to it.
  • What are the system requirements for installing the PC application?

    1. OS: Windows XP SP3 or Windows Server 2003 SP2 (or later)
    * Mac: Currently unsupported but support will be added later.
    2. System requirements
    - Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
      Not installed on Windows XP/2003. It is recommended that you install .NET 3.5.
      .NET 3.5 is included in Windows Server 2008 and higher versions, but may not be active by default. In this case, make sure to install .NET 3.5 using the Server Manager MMC.
    - Internet Explorer 8 or later (Required for using a Samsung account)

  • Can I delete the data uploaded to Samsung Cloud Print?

    Documents uploaded to Samsung Cloud Print will be automatically deleted after 72 hours. Until then, documents can be printed from My Drive in your mobile app.
    You can also delete documents directly from Samsung Cloud Print.

  • Which countries are serviced for customer support?

    ※ Other countries are not available for customer support and may face limitations of functions and printing speed slow downs.
  • If I cannot receive the PIN, what should I do?

    Common issues are listed below:
    - Some areas of the network are having trouble communicating
    - Bandwidth is low
    - Sender has experienced a communication error
    When there is a sender communication error, text messages may be temporarily delayed.

    Please wait a few minutes before requesting a new PIN.
